動画「社外製リアサスペンション ユニット」/ Video ”Regarding aftermarket Rear Suspension Units"」

社外製のリアサスペンションユニットの特徴について、取り外したユニットを分解しながら、解説をした動画を制作しました。社外製のユニットの購入や調整などに関心のある人に参考になると思います。

We've created a video explaining the features of aftermarket rear suspension units, demonstrating the disassembly of a removed unit. This should be helpful for those interested in purchasing or adjusting aftermarket units.




リアサスペンションユニットを、純正装着品から高機能で調整機能に優れた社外製品に交換すると、オートバイの操縦性や安定性を確実に向上させる事が出来ます。しかし、純正で装備されたユニットは、車両メーカーの設計者が車両特性に合わせて設計を行ない、テストライダーが実走行テストを繰り返しながら決定しているので、そのままの状態で多くのライダーに十分に高い操縦性や安定性を提供できる仕様になっています。しかし、社外製品は、ユニットを製造メーカーが、オートバイ各社の多くの車両を使用して、テストライダーが十分なテスト走行を行なっているわけではありません。その為、社外製品の高い基本性能や幅広い調整機能を発揮させるには、オートバイとライダーに合わせてユニットを調整する必要がある事は知られていません。

この動画では、そんな調整の必要性や基本性能を更に高める方法なども解説していますので、是非、参考にして下さい。

Replacing the factory-installed rear suspension unit with a high-performance, highly adjustable aftermarket unit can significantly improve a motorcycle's handling and stability. However, factory-installed units are designed by the vehicle manufacturer's designers to match the vehicle's characteristics, and their specifications are determined through repeated real-world testing by test riders. Therefore, they provide sufficient handling and stability for many riders in their original state. However, aftermarket units are not subjected to the same extensive testing by test riders on a wide range of motorcycles from various manufacturers. Therefore, it's not widely known that aftermarket units need to be adjusted to suit the motorcycle and rider in order to achieve their high basic performance and wide range of adjustability.

本日（4/5）『整備イベント』を開催しました。
題名は「リアサスペンションユニットの取り外し」です。
Today (April 5th), we held a "Maintenance Event."
The event was titled "Removal of the Rear Suspension Unit."

米国・ペンスキー社製の「リア サスペンション ユニット」を車両から取り外して、その主な構成の他、社外製ユニットの特徴などを画像と映像で収めました。
We removed a rear suspension unit manufactured by Penske, USA, from a vehicle and captured images and videos of its main components, as well as the characteristics of aftermarket units.

映像の中で、スプリングの重要性を詳しく語った他、ユニットの性能を適切に発揮させる為に購入後に加えている部品も解説しています。
The video includes a detailed explanation of the importance of springs and a description of parts added after purchase to ensure the unit performs optimally.

撮影した画像と映像は編集を行なった後、『リア サスペンション ユニットの取り外し』（仮題）という記事にまとめて、公式Webサイトなどで公開する予定です。
After editing, the captured images and videos will be compiled into an article tentatively titled "Removal of the Rear Suspension Unit" and published on our official website.

整備イベント「ストレスの除去」報告 / Report on the Maintenance Event: ”Stress Relief”

オートバイの整備知識を共有するため、車体に溜まりやすいストレスの除去を紹介する動画の撮影イベントを開催し、今回は、その撮影状況の紹介です。幾つかの作業を撮影しましたんどえ、順次、公開していきますので、ご期待下さい。

To share motorcycle maintenance knowledge, we held a filming event to create a video showcasing how to remove stress that tends to accumulate in motorcycle bodies. This post introduces the filming process. We filmed several different tasks, which will be released sequentially, so please look forward to them.
