交通公園清掃報告「白い花」/ Traffic Park Cleaning Report "White Flowers"

  
交通公園に白い花（ヒメジュオン）が至る所に咲いていました。路肩や縁石の上だけではなく、路面の割れ目からも咲いていました。昨年はこんなに咲いていなかったので、きっと、昨年、多くの草を根こそぎ抜いたので、植生が変化したのでしょう。でも、こんな華凜な花を観ると、直ぐに抜けません。抜くのは、花が咲き終わる次の機会にしました。
 
White flowers were blooming everywhere in Traffic Park. They weren't blooming this much last year, so I'm sure the vegetation changed after we uprooted a lot of the grass last year. But when I see such gorgeous flowers, I can't pull them out right away. I'll pull them out next time, after the flowers have finished blooming.
     

      
『 発掘作業 / Excavation 』
      
6月27日、赤穂市の交通公園の路面清掃を行ないました。今回も、公園の外周路清掃の続きでしたが、予想を超える “発掘” 作業でした。 路面の上に、暑さ 20㎝ を超える土砂が堆積していたのです。 堆積の様子から、この交通公園が経験してきた過酷な歴史が分かります。きっと、横を流れる川が何度も氾濫して、その度に土砂が堆積していったのでしょう。

On June 27th, we cleaned the road surface of Traffic Park in Ako City. This time, the "excavation" work was beyond our expectations. More than 20 cm of soil had accumulated on the road surface. The state of the accumulation shows the harsh history that this traffic park has experienced.
     

また、路面のひび割れも至る所にあって、そこから植物たちが伸び伸びと育っているのも深刻です。育つにつれて、舗装路面を崩していくからです。だから、小さい時から根こそぎ取り去る事が大切です。

It is also serious that plants are growing freely in the cracks in the road surface that are everywhere. As they grow, they destroy the paved road surface. That's why it is important to remove them by roots from a young age.
     

「草取り、大変ですね」と言って下さる人もいますが、草取り以上に、安全な練習環境の為に、路面の小石や砂の除去に一番気を遣って作業をしています。そして、今回の清掃エリアは 約 15㎡ で、未清掃の外周路はまだ多く残っています。これからも続けていきます。

Some people say that weeding is hard work, but more than weeding, we are most concerned with removing pebbles and sand from the surface of the track to ensure a safe practice environment. The area we cleaned this time was about 15 square meters, and there is still a lot of the outer track that has not been cleaned. We will continue to do so.

交通公園清掃報告「自転車の子供達」/ Traffic Park Cleanup Report "Children on Bicycles"

昨年の4月にも、交通公園で子供達が自転車の練習する場面に遭遇しましたが、その時はまだ一部しか清掃できていなくて、自転車のタイヤが路面の小石や砂利をはじく音が間断なくしていました。しかし、今回は違いました。
     
Last April, I encountered children practicing bicycle riding at Traffic Park, but at that time, only a part of the park had been cleaned, and the sound of bicycle tires hitting pebbles and gravel on the road was continuous. However, this time was different.
    

    
作業が終わる頃、公園で子供達が自転車の練習を始めたのですが、小石の音もせず、子供達の大きな声だけが響き、観ていても去年よりずっと安心出来たのです。これからも、清掃エリアを広げていきます。

When the work was finished, children started practicing bicycle riding in the park, and there was no sound of pebbles, only the loud voices of the children echoed, and watching them was much more reassuring than last year.
  

今回（6/21）も、外周路の清掃でした。今回のエリアも公園外縁部から土砂が流入して、草たちも侵入して、舗装の継ぎ目を広げている場所です。草たちが繁るのを抑える為にも、土砂と一緒に、草も根こそぎ除去が欠かせません。

The area cleaned on June 21st was also an area where soil and sand had flowed in from the outer edge of the park, and grass had also invaded, widening the joints in the pavement. In order to prevent the grass from growing, it is essential to remove the grass by the roots along with the soil and sand.
     

   
   

     

今回の清掃出来たのは 約 15 ㎡ で、次回に予定しているエリアは 更に土砂と草たちが侵入していますが、少しずつですが、着実に進めて行きます。

This time, we were able to clean about 15 m2, and the area we plan to clean next time has more soil and grass invading, but we will continue to make steady progress, albeit slowly.

清掃活動「良い光景です」/ Cleaning activity "A Beautiful Sight"

本日（6/21）、清掃活動を行なっている 赤穂市の交通公園で、久し振りに自転車に乗る子供達に出逢いました。 祖母の方に連れられて公園に入って来た彼らは、大きな声を出しながら元気に走り回っていました。 本当に、良い光景です。

Today, at the traffic park in Ako City where we are carrying out our cleaning activities, we encountered some children riding bicycles for the first time in a while. They entered the park accompanied by their grandmother and ran around energetically, shouting loudly. It was really a beautiful sight.
     

      
昨年の4月、祖父に連れられた二人の子供達が自転車の練習を始めた場面にも遭遇しましたが、路面にはたくさんの小石や砂利があって、走る度に小石がはじける音が間断なくして、観ていても可哀相に感じたものです。でも、今日はしませんでした。本当に、良い光景です。
  
Last April, I also encountered two children accompanied by their grandfather who had started practicing riding bicycles, but there were a lot of pebbles and gravel on the road, and the sound of the pebbles popping every time they rode was endless, which made me feel sorry for them. But that didn't happen today. It was really a beautiful sight.

交通公園清掃活動「ありがとうございます」/ Road Cleaning Report "I appreciate you"

赤穂市の交通公園の路面清掃活動を始めて 15ヶ月が経ち、今年に入ってから、実際に講習に使われる機会が増えてきました。今日も、お二人が利用されているのを観る事が出来ました。 ありがとうございます。路面清掃を行なっていく気持ちが更に高まりました。

It has been 15 months since we started cleaning the roads at the Traffic Park in Ako City, and since the beginning of this year, the park has been used more and more for training purposes. Today, I was able to see the two of you using the park. I appreciate you. This has made me even more motivated to continue cleaning the roads.
　　

   
清掃を始めた頃より、路面状況は確実に安全になってはいますが、まだ清掃できていないエリアは多く残っていますし、清掃した後の路面コンディションは徐々に悪化していくのが常です。微力ですが、路面清掃で、より多くの人の安全や楽しみに貢献していきますので、今後共にご期待ください。

Although the road conditions have definitely become safer since we started cleaning, there are still many areas that have not been cleaned, and the road conditions tend to gradually deteriorate after cleaning. Although our efforts are small, we will continue to contribute to the safety and enjoyment of as many people as possible by cleaning the roads, so please look forward to our future efforts.

交通公園清掃報告「鳥たちの公園」/ Traffic Park Cleaning Report "Birds' Park"

気温と雨量が増す6月は、植物たちが一斉に伸びる季節です。 交通公園の植物たちも、一度清掃した場所から、路面の間隙を縫う様に、再び葉をあちこちで茂らせています。清掃作業とイタチごっこですが、昨年の同時期よりも間違いなく安全に走れます。

June is the season when plants grow all at once. The plants in Traffic Park are also growing leaves here and there from the gaps in the road surface that were once cleaned. However, it is definitely safer to run on than the same time last year.

6月13日、赤穂市の交通公園で清掃活動を行なった場所は、上の画像と同じ、公園周辺の草地から草や土砂が侵入している外周路です。

On June 13th, we cleaned up Traffic Park in Ako City, on the outer perimeter road where grass and soil have invaded from the grasslands around the park.

今回の清掃エリアの一部は、昨年、既に清掃を終えていた箇所も含まれますが、草や土砂の進入を防ぐ事は容易ではありません。しかし、繰り返し続けるしかないでしょう。

Part of the cleaning area this time includes areas that had already been cleaned last year, but it is not easy to prevent grass and soil from entering. However, we have no choice but to keep repeating it.

公園は鳥たちの姿や声であふれています。頭上では、終始、ヒバリがさえずり続け、対岸の山からは ウグイスたちが美声を届けてくれ、名前を知らない鳥たちが頭上を横切っていきます。 カラスたちは虫たちを探して草地の上を歩き回り、公園の横を流れる川の浅瀬ではサギたちも見掛けます。しかし、5月末、巣作りで忙しそうに飛び交っていた ツバメたちは見掛けませんでした。きっと、巣の内装仕上げか、抱卵に入っているのかも知れません。7月、子供を連れた彼らの姿が見れる事を願っています。

Birds are close at hand in the park. Skylarks continue to sing overhead, Japanese bush warblers deliver beautiful voices from the mountains on the opposite bank, and birds whose names I don't know fly overhead. However, I did not see the swallows that were busy flying around building nests at the end of May. They may be finishing the interior of their nests or incubating eggs. I hope to see them with their children in July.
