交通公園清掃日記「ヒバリたちの春」/ Cleaning Diary "Spring for Skylarks"

4月11日（金）、赤穂市の交通公園の路面清掃を、今年になって初めて、ヒバリのさえずり声を聞きながら行ないました。いよいよ、ヒバリたちにも春がやって来て、交通公園で一番タフなエリアの清掃も一歩前進しました。

On Friday, April 11th, while cleaning the roads of Traffic Park, I heard skylarks singing for the first time this year. With the arrival of spring for skylarks, we have made progress in cleaning the toughest area of ​​the park.

このエリアの土砂溜まりは、過去に、公園の横を流れている河川が何度か氾濫した結果でしょう。最大18㎝ 以上の厚みになっているのです。体力的には辛いエリアですが、特別な喜びもあります。それは、「この外周路はこんなに広かったんだ」と発見できるからです。

The mud puddles in this area are probably the result of the river that runs alongside the park flooding several times in the past. They are up to 18 cm thick. It is a physically tough area, but it also brings special joy. That is, you can discover that "this outer path was so wide."

このエリアから土砂溜まりを清掃できたら、きっと見違える様な印象になるでしょうし、初めて自転車を練習する子供たちは、きっと安心して走り抜けられるでしょう。それが願いですし喜びです。

If we can clean up the dirt piles in this area, it will surely make a completely different impression, and children who are learning to ride their bicycles for the first time will be able to ride through it with more confidence. That is my wish and joy.

＜追伸 / PS. ＞

早朝、長く響き渡る鳥のさえずり声を目で追うと、ヒバリよりも少し大きく、黒っぽい体色でした。もしかするとオオルリかも知れません。また会えますように。

Early in the morning, I followed the long chirps of a bird with my eyes and saw that it was a little larger than a skylark and had a darker body color. It might be a blue-and-white flycatcher. I hope to see it again.
