Z900RS『持込み整備』企画、リポート / Your Bike "Fine Maintenance" Report

オートバイの上質で正確な整備・ファイン メインテナンスを、整った設備とサポートを受けながら、オーナー自ら行なう、妖怪ガレージ “持込み整備” 企画に、カワサキ Z900RS に乗っている人が参加して、「転がり抵抗が減った」との成果がありました。
メーカーやショップでも行なっていない、オートバイを本来の設計通りに正確に修正する作業をオーナー自ら初めて行ない、整備による違いを体験して、オートバイに対する理解が一段と深まった様です。

A rider of a Kawasaki Z900RS participated in the Your Bike “Fine-Maintenance” project, where owners can perform high-quality, precise maintenance of their motorcycles themselves with the support and equipment they need. The result was that the rolling resistance was reduced.
This was the first time the owner himself performed the work of precisely correcting the motorcycle to its original design, something that even manufacturers and shops do not do, and by experiencing the difference that maintenance makes, he appears to have gained a deeper understanding of motorcycles.

Z900RS『持込み整備』企画、速報 / your Bike "Fine Maintenance" 1st Report

6月5日、カワサキ Z900RS に乗っている方が、妖怪ガレージ『持込み整備』企画を利用して、ご自身でオートバイの整備をされました。希望された整備内容は「車体整備（簡易版）」で、約4時間だけの限られた整備に留まりましたが、整備後の試走の結果、その効果をはっきりと感じたとの事でした。

On June 5th, a rider of a Kawasaki Z900RS took advantage of Yokai Garage's "Fine Maintenance" program to have his motorcycle serviced by himself. He chose the "Bike Body Chiropractic" and only spent about four hours on the maintenance, but he said that he could clearly feel the effects of the maintenance when he test drove it after the maintenance.

行なった整備メニューは、時間の制約の関係で、以下の内容です。そして、その際に計測した整列（アライメント）の “ずれ” も報告します。

今回行なった整備は、ボルトを緩めて、また締め直すという簡単な内容ですし、整列の “ずれ” の量も殆どの人にとって “僅か” に思える数値でしょう。しかし、実際には、はっきりとした違いになって表われるのです。それが、大量生産で組み立てられたままの車体と、適切な整体整備（ファイン メインテナンス）を行なった車体との違いです。

The maintenance performed this time was simple, just loosening and re-tightening the bolts, and the amount of deviation in the alignment would seem "tiny" to most people.
