Czinger の産業界への影響 / The Industrial Impact of the Czinger

以前にも共有しましたが、米国の Czinger Vehicle 社の Czinger 21C の 構成がよく判る映像で、この車は スーパーカーと呼ばれる車以上の走行性能を誇りますが、注目すべき点はそこではありません。あらゆる車作りの未来を力強く推進している点にあり、僕はオートバイ作りで影響が出る事を期待しています。

As I've shared before, this video clearly shows the configuration of the Czinger 21C from the American company Czinger Vehicle. While this car boasts performance exceeding that of so-called supercars, that's not the point. The real point is that it powerfully propels the future of all vehicle manufacturing, including motorcycles.





Czinger Vehicle を設立した Kevin Czinger 氏の狙いは、100年以上続いている車づくりに欠けている 合理性や革新性を自ら学び、今後のあるべき姿を模索して提案をする為に、2019年、3Dプリンター技術の開発を行なう「Divergent 3D」社 と開発した技術を使って 金属3Dプリンター製造部品を多用した車を作る「Czinger Vehicle」社 を設立して、映像の車：Czinger 21C を製造しており、製造した大きな目的は。単に高性能車の販売ではなく、AIを駆使して最適設計を行ない、金属3Ｄプリンターで 従来の物作りでは実現できない部品を量産するシステムを世界中の自動車メーカーなどにアピールする事にありそうです。

Kevin Czinger, the founder of Czinger Vehicle, aims to learn about the rationality and innovation lacking in car manufacturing, which has continued for over 100 years, and to explore and propose what the future should look like. In 2019, he established Czinger Vehicle, which uses technology developed with Divergent 3D, a company developing 3D printing technology, to create cars that extensively utilize metal 3D printed parts. The car shown in the video, the Czinger 21C, was manufactured with this company's main objective. It seems that the goal is not simply to sell high-performance cars, but to showcase a system that utilizes AI for optimal design and mass-produces parts that cannot be achieved with conventional manufacturing methods using metal 3D printers to automakers worldwide.

実際、日本の自動車メーカーでも、試作段階での部品作りに 金属3Dプリンターは多用されており、レース用車両の様々な部品も AIによる設計技術と 金属3Dプリンターを使った製造技術を利用するのは必須の状態になっており、ここに Czinger 氏の功績が大きく影響している事は間違いありません。更には、AI と 金属3Dプリンターによる部品づくりは、自動車業界だけでなく、彼が提唱している製造システムは 防衛産業や航空宇宙のあらゆる「構造体」に応用され始めており、まざに彼の先見の明が時代をリードしていると言えます。僕自身は、もっとこのシステムが一般的になって、オートバイのサスペンション部品やフレームづくりに活かされる時代が来ると確信していますし、待ち遠しく感じています。

In fact, Japanese automakers are already using metal 3D printers extensively for prototype parts, and the use of AI-based design technology and metal 3D printing for various parts of racing vehicles has become essential. There's no doubt that Mr. Czinger's contributions have had a significant impact here. Furthermore, the manufacturing system he advocates, using AI and metal 3D printers for parts creation, is beginning to be applied not only to the automotive industry but also to all kinds of "structures" in the defense and aerospace industries, demonstrating his foresight in leading the way. I myself am confident that this system will become more common and that it will be used in motorcycle suspension parts and frame manufacturing, and I eagerly await that day.





Kevin Czinger 氏は、イェール大学卒業後、ゴールドマン・サックス社で金融の世界を学び、2000年代後半、EVメーカー：Coda Automobile を共同設立したものの挫折をした後、自動車業界に必要な革新性を学べ、現在の Divergent 3D と Czinger Vehicle を設立 した。1959年生まれの現在は 67歳 です。
そして、ご子息の Lucas Czinger 氏も共同創業者として経営に加わっており、今後の産業界に大きな影響を与え続けると期待しています。

Kevin Czinger graduated from Yale University, learned about the world of finance at Goldman Sachs, and after co-founding the EV manufacturer Coda Automobile in the late 2000s but failing, he learned about the innovation needed in the automotive industry and founded his current companies, Divergent 3D and Czinger Vehicle. Born in 1959, he is currently 67 years old.

His son, Lucas Czinger, is also a co-founder and involved in the management, and we expect them to continue to have a significant impact on the industry in the future.
