『セルフステア』での “キャスター” の働き / How “Caster Angle” Works in “Self-Steer”

オートバイで、タイヤを確実にグリップさせて、速く、安全に走らせる基本は「セルフステア」を最大限活用したライディングです、そして、「セルフステア」を生み出す要素の ?トレール量? や［キャスター角］、［タイヤ接地面］と［操舵系の重心位置］などを分かり易く解説して、オートバイを安全に楽しみたい多くの人に活用して欲しいと願っています。

On a motorcycle, the key to riding fast and safely while ensuring the tires grip is to make the most of "Self-Steer." We aim to explain clearly the factors that create "Self-Steer," such as the Trail Amount, Caster Angle, Contact Patch, and Center of Gravity of the Steering System, and we hope that many people who want to enjoy motorcycles safely will find this information useful.
　　

   
［キャスター角］は、一番目立つので良く知られた要素ですが、AI でさえも「直進安定性を高める」という誤った回答をするほど、多くの人が誤解しています。 しかし、過大な角度を想定すると、キャスターの特性や素性の理解は広まると思います。
 
"Caster angle" is the most visible and well-known factor, but many people misunderstand it, to the point that even AI incorrectly answers that it "improves straight-line stability." I think that assuming an excessive angle will broaden understanding of the characteristics and properties of caster.
