春の新しい顔 / New Face of Spring

何も手入れをしない小さな花壇で、先週まで大きな顔をして咲いていた「アミガサユリ」や「キズイセン」、「ヒメオドリコソウ」たちが姿を隠し、新しい顔たちが春を告げています。

In a small flower bed that is not taken care of at all, the "Mommy Lilies", "Daffodils", and "Lamb's Lamium" that were blooming proudly until last week have disappeared, and from today, new faces are announcing the arrival of spring.

ステージを乗り越えるようにアピールしているのは「ヤバスエンドウ」。昨年よりもずっとパワーアップして、今、一番大きな顔をしているマメ科の植物です。サヤエンドウの様な実をつけてくれるでしょうか。

The wild pea is appealing to get over the stage. It has become much more powerful than last year and is now the biggest legume plant. I wonder if it will bear fruit like a snow pea.

キンモクセイの陰になりながら、精一杯のアピールをしているのは「ハナズオウ」。ヤバスエンドウと同じマメ科ですが、画像から分かりますか？ 樹木のように育つ植物のようです。 大柄なキンモクセイさえ居なかったら、きっと、もっと伸び伸びできたでしょう。

In the shade of the sweet osmanthus, the redbud is making its best appeal. It is in the same legume family as the wild pea, but can you tell from the picture? It seems to be a plant that grows like a tree. If it weren't for the big sweet osmanthus, it would surely be able to grow more freely.

毎年、この時期になったら花壇で主役を張っている黄色の「カタバミ」。今年は、まだ、陽当たりの良い場所から様子見しています。きっと、あと2週間もしない内に、花壇のあちこちで顏を広げているでしょう。いい色です。

Every year at this time, the yellow wood sorrel takes center stage in the flower bed. This year, I'm still watching it from a sunny spot. I'm sure that within the next two weeks, it will be spreading its face all over the flower bed. What a lovely color.
